Hmmmm

I happened to get in a car accident in mid December..Not Hurt Just mad!!!! My wonderful Subaru smashed front and back!! All because a stupid girl decided not to stop.....Anyway, I could not wait to get my car back. I got a rental but HATED it. Just about the time my car was being fixed it started to snow and didn't stop. Christmas Eve my car is ready..let me tell you I couldn't finish work fast enough. I go get coffee it's nice out... no worries. I go out the next day it's snowing like crazy so lucky me I have a rear window windsheild wiper! I turn it on and what the hell...It is cleaning my license plate and not the window!!!! It's on backwards! I started to laugh and drove right to the collision place and talk to the "guy". He starts laughing and fixes it with a "well, now you have a really clean license plate!" I LOVE my car!

What a Great Day!!! We went to Paul's braving driving through 6 inches of snow(over 10 inches now and not stopping!) we opened presents there and were going to have breakfast but the power went out! Back to mom and dads....

The Village

Another fun thing at Christmas is putting up my Dept 56 Snow Village.
Every year I HATE lugging all the boxes from the basement and vow we can do without the "village". Every year I (and whoever is nice enough to help) spend a couple of hours putting it together. Every year when it is done I LOVE it until I have to get the boxes...and always ask can't we just leave it up??????? Thank you to my helpers.

Christmas Cards

I love this time of year. You don't always keep in touch with people but at Christmas I usually get a card, email, letter or phone call from them. This year I decided to make my own cards. I think if you receive a card it is extra special.Just an I was thinking of you moment.I won't show the mess I made just a few of the results.The more wine I had the more creative....:0)

was exhausted after watching, I wanted to
make sure they got every block tackle etc.
So I did it with them. By the way...

Thanksgiving

Let the Feasting BEGIN!!!
I am sooooo lucky to have my family and friends,
for all that you do I am truly grateful.
I am also grateful to have my mom cook.
It is a truly grand experience to eat at her house.
I did make a pumpkin roll as my contribution
this year. It turned out okay, it did fall apart but,
with enough frosting on the inside and powdered sugar
on top, no one will know. All the yummy smells!
I love Thanksgiving!
Football games, cooler weather, Shopping!
It just starts a very
enjoyable time of year for me.




I will not however be gettingup early for the after Thanksgiving
sales. I think the stores should do mid-day
specials for those who like to wake up a little later,
enjoy a few cups of coffee and then calmly go on their way!


Things I am Thankful for:

Home, Family(near and far)and friends.
My wonderful subaru!!!!! Tilly, The beagle of the house.
Work and the great people I work with, my clients.
Haircolor, handmade soap and hats.
Quilting, old chenille bedspreads and my sewing machine.
Hawaii, holidays and sunshine.
Soccer, Football and Gymnastics. (Only watching)
Lemon meringue pie, homegrown tomatoes.
STARBUCKS!!!! Just give me the coffee and no one gets hurt!
